Step Up for Ostomy (JustGiving) - how to sign up to the Ostomy Halifax team
Ostomy Halifax is excited to be helping raise funds to support Ostomy Canada and its mission! The Step Up for Ostomy campaign will support our outreach, education, advocacy and program development for those affected by an ostomy.
Come join us on September 23, 2023, in cities, towns, parks, trails, and venues across Canada and show your support for those living with an ostomy, their friends and family. On that day we will walk, run, bike, hike, or whatever you like.
Let’s all Step Up for Ostomy, to raise awareness, eliminate stigma and raise funds to help enhance Ostomy Canada Programs!

Step By Step Instructions on How to Sign Up to the Ostomy Halifax Team in Support of Step Up for Ostomy!
In order to join the team the first step is to CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW.

Join The Ostomy Halifax- Step Up for Ostomy 2023 Team
The link above will take you to our “Ostomy Halifax - Step Up for Ostomoy 2023” Just Giving page.
Please click on “Join the team” (image below)
On the top right hand side of the page you will see a link that says "Join The Team" Click on "Join The Team" (image above)
It will take you to a Log In page, this page will also have an option for you to sign up to JustGiving.
Next are the instructions on how to sign up for a Just Giving account so you can join our team. If you already have an account log in and scroll further down.
If you do not have a Just Giving account you will need to sign up (so you can join our team)
You will need to sign up for Just Giving before you join the Ostomy Halifax team. Once you sign up you can join our team.
To create your account click "Sign Up" (image below)
Once you click on Sign Up, it will take you to a page where you can fill out your information and create your password. (Image Below)
You will need to out the fields and then click "Sign Up"
When signing up your password will need to be 12 characters, with an upper or lower case letter, and a special character (*&%@#) . Your password cannot include your name or email info. (image below)
Once you sign up it takes you to Join The Team.
Click on Create Your Fundraising Page. (image below)
Now that you have signed up, you need to create your fundraising page (so people can support you!). The fundraising page will be attached to the Ostomy Halifax team.
To join the Ostomy Halifa - Step Up for Ostomy 2023 team, click on the Create Your Fundraising Page. This "page" will link to the Ostomy Halifax - Step Up for Ostomy 2023 and you will automatically join the team.
It will then ask you how much you would like to raise (image below). You can adjust the amount. The amount becomes part of the amount the entire team will be raising. Please adjust to whatever you prefer.
Click on Next (image below)
You have the option to personalize your message. Or, you can leave it as is.
Click on Next: Page Cover (image below)
Setting Your Personal Page Up - you have the option of going in later and making changes. We recommend getting it set up first before personalizing it.

Click on Next: Finalize (image below).
Now you are at the Almost Finished! page (image below). This shows you an overview of what you signed up for.
Click on Launch My Page (image below)
Before your profile/page goes live ,
Just Giving asks you to be the first to donate. Click the X button on the top right corner or the "Not Now Maybe Later Link".
We clicked on the X and we recommend you click on X so you can complete the process of joining the team first. You can always go back later and donate.
Click on the X (image below)
Your PAGE is now active and you have JOINED THE TEAM! You can click on share or the links at the bottom to share to your friends and family and help spread the word about the fundraiser.
